Dr. Apostolos Tassiopoulos, chair of the Stony Brook Department of Surgery, has appointed Huseyin Isildak, MD, chief of the Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (ENT) after serving as interim chief since June 2024.

Dr. Isildak is a professor of surgery, director of otology/neurotology, and director of Stony Brook’s Cochlear Implant Program. He joined Stony Brook in August 2021, after having been the practicing director of otology/neurotology at Penn State Hershey Medical Center for eight years.
